The house we sold last month had 3 bedrooms, 3 living areas, 2.5 baths plus a study and laundry room – it was about 2,400 square feet. We’ve downsized a bit: our new home has 1 bedroom, 1 bath (which doubles as a laundry room) and is about 165 square feet.
It does have a nice view, though!
We actually spend more time hanging out here during the day than I thought we would – it’s nice to get away from the noise & the crowds of the rest of the ship. The kids like to squirrel themselves away on the window ledge or in little nooks behind the beds, so they don’t take up much space.
At night, the beds for the kids fold down from the ceiling, making the space just a bit more cramped, and creating an obstacle for our heads:
It’s become a running joke – every time one of us bumps into an upper bunk, the other three chime in unison, “mind your head!”
