Towel Animals

by Marc on October 21, 2008

One of the goofy little things a lot of cruise lines like to do these days is have the stateroom attendants leave a little towel animal when they turn down your bed(s) for the night. Some of them are really cute (& creative):

Having us in the same room for 4 weeks posed a bit of a challenge for our stateroom attendant, Desmond, who did his best to come up with something different every night.

After a couple weeks, some of his creatures were a bit bizarre:

One night, Hannah decided to copy one of his smaller creations – I think she did a pretty good job!

On the last Thursday night, however, we returned from dinner and were slightly disappointed to see no towel animal on our beds.

“I guess Desmond ran out of ideas”, one of us said.

A few moments later, Danielle opened the bathroom door and let out a yelp that startled us all.

This is what she found:

Good one, Desmond!

That’s so cool. The guy in the bath would have made me use the floor for a toilet. . .if you get my drift – uh. sorry no ‘drift’ jokes at sea. . . .
