Fun With Menus

by Marc on February 7, 2009

Since these places are majory tourist destinations, most restaurants in Cusco & Aguas Calientes feature English translations, which is a nice gesture. However, some of the translations are pretty funny:

Loin to the iron? sounds painful. And I have no idea what German nickels have to do with Alpaca:

One menu featured something called “trout to the male thing”. It actually tastes better than it sounds.

I’d like to try Loin to the Wine, German Nickel to the Oven, and best of all Padded Loin. What fun!
