Now Lie In It

We’ve slept in so many different beds since this journey began. Most are tolerable and unremarkable. There have been some however than can’t go by without description.

Hard – You know it’s a bad sign when the hardest surface in the bedroom is the mattress. I honestly think someone believed boxspring and mattress are the same and interchangeable.

Thin – This lovely mattress was made of foam. Memory NOT included.

Sagging – Springs so sprung you fear half of them will stage a sudden protest and burst through the sheet to stab you in the back.

Wiggly – This one was just crazy. Laying totally still it still shimmied. It has a funny story behind it. If I can stop laughing to tears I’ll share it.

That’s one thing I miss most when I travel…my own bed. Glad you’re making the most of it. I keep waiting for one labeled “Funky”.
