We didn’t originally plan to visit Tahiti, but there was no way to get from Rapa Nui to Auckland without at least a 2-night stop here.
Tahiti is crazy expensive – even the 15-minute cab ride from the airport to our hotel was over $50 US.
We decided to just embrace it, and booked our 2 nights in the Radisson. Our luxe balcony room overlooked a gorgeous black sand beach:
Besides a really expensive restaurant, the resort had a great pool,
and very nice sunset views, too.
We ate as little as possible, but still spent as much as we would have in a whole week in South America. That was a little hard to swallow (pardon the pun), but we had a nice day there.
Maybe we’ll come back someday, when we have a lot more money!

Well all I can say is that one way to go on a diet . This place must be very good to look at and quiet to huh?
Very pretty, but I won’t be going there – unless I win a trip, of course!
Wow! Tahiti on the list too but way to expensive. I’m a long way from being able to afford that one. Nice black sand beach and beautiful sunset pics.
