Kudos! Regarding less-touristy islands -- Koh Ngai and the surrounding islands are really quiet and beautiful. No roads, about a dozen different hotels/guesthouses, a couple different beaches, and a couple short hikes. And all the inns offer short boat trips to other islands for other activities. Very quiet and relaxing. You can get to it from the coast south of Krabi. Are you going to Malaysia? It's fantastic too. Not as smiley as Thailand, but safe, clean, and fewer tourists. Have fun!
