I love that you decided to move into a city apt — a permanent change born of travel and the realization that you don’t need so much. Maybe we’ll do the same when we return from our trip (still 3 years away!)

You are an absolute inspiration! I love the term ‘lifestyle designers’. I’m also interested in how and what you will integrate into your life now based on your travels. We just completed about a nine month excursion within North America…we had sold most of the stuff and house and bought a travel trailer…home for a bit now -for winter-staying with family, but drawn to the road again..hmmmm-anyways-I’m glad I stumbled upon your site… all the best in your transitions…

@Kari – yep my hair was in a pony most all of the trip. I didn’t even bring a hair dryer. Also, I am a very picky eater, more so than the kids. I certainly didn’t starve, but I did end up eating crap too often – Ritz crackers and peanut M&M’s or Pringles.

Just finished the entire blog! We are in the early stages of planning our trip. (like I have to convince my husband it is a good idea.) Thank you so much for sharing.
A couple of things I am worried about… We tend to argue when we travel, and the kids are picky eaters…
I am starting to grow my hair, so I can just do a pony, and away we go.
