Where we are right now:
We’re on our second cruise ship, Emerald Princess, cruising the Eastern Caribbean for a second time:
Trip Details (subject to change):
September 21st, 2008 - we board the Royal Caribbean ship Freedom of the Seas., which will be our home for 4 weeks. During that time we’ll visit St. Thomas, St. Maarten, San Juan (Puerto Rico), Labadie (Haiti), Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel twice each.
October 19th - 20th, 2008 - layover in Miami & Ft. Lauderdale
October 21st, 2008 - we board another cruise ship, Emerald Princess, where we’ll spend 40 days touring the Eastern & Southern Caribbean. Stops include St. Thomas, Dominica, Grenada, Bonaire, Aruba, Antigua, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts & Nevis, and the Bahamas.
November 30th, 2008 - again we step off one ship an onto another. This time it’s Carnival Valor, where we’ll only be spending 2 weeks. We’ll visit Roatan, Honduras and Belize, along with some places we’ve been before.
December 14th, 2008 - our current plan is to return to the Dallas area for the holidays. We’d love to avoid this, but there are doctor appointments and other stuff we can’t seem to get out of.
January - March 2009 - we embark on a land tour of South America, spending most of our time in Argentina, Chile & Peru. Highlights of this section will be Machu Picchu, Easter Island, Patagonia & possibly Antarctica.
March 2009 - we catch a flight from Santiago, Chile to Easter Island, then perhaps to the Cook Islands before moving on to Southeast Asia.
Early April 2009 - on to Japan for a week of cherry blossoms & sushi!
Late April 2009 - we’ll spend some time in China - Beijing & Xian, plus possibly Hong Kong.
May - June 2009 - we’ll spend a couple of months exploring Thailand, Cambodia & Vietnam. Then we’ll see how our money is holding up!
